Why Bead-Free Matters for Kids

Standard weighted blankets use plastic poly-pellets or micro-glass beads sewn into quilted pockets. If a seam tears, these beads pose severe choking hazards. Woven Woven uses thick, chunky knit organic cotton where the weight is entirely in the yarn itself — zero beads to leak.

2

Deep Touch Pressure (DTP)

The gentle, evenly distributed pressure stimulates the production of serotonin and melatonin while reducing cortisol (stress hormone). This activates the parasympathetic nervous system, easing transition to sleep for children with sensory sensitivities or ADHD.

Pediatric Safety Guidelines

Weighted blankets should NEVER be used for infants under 12 months or children under 20 lbs. A child must always possess the motor strength to push the blanket off their chest and face completely unassisted.
