Commercial Concrete Boom Pumping Master Agreement
American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA) Certified Operations, Outrigger Ground Bearing & Washout SLA
ACPA / ASME B30.27
1. Outrigger Setup & Soil Ground Bearing Clearance
Customer/GC warrants that the staging area possesses adequate ground compaction and soil bearing capacity to support total pump outrigger point loads (up to 75,000 lbs per pad). Contractor shall deploy high-density composite outrigger pads. Setup over uncompacted backfill, vaults, or underground utilities is prohibited without engineered shoring.
2. Overhead Power Line Setback Rules (20-Foot Minimum Clearance)
Pursuant to OSHA 1926.1408 and ASME B30.27, a mandatory minimum clearance of twenty feet (20 ft) must be maintained at all times between any part of the concrete placing boom and energized electrical transmission lines up to 350 kV. Dedicated spotters are required whenever operating within fifty feet.
3. Concrete Mix Pumpability & Ready-Mix Truck Staging
Customer is responsible for ensuring ready-mix concrete suppliers deliver pumpable structural mixes with appropriate gradation, minimum cementitious content, and slump (3.5″–6.0″). Customer coordinates continuous ready-mix truck staging to prevent pipeline setting, blockages, or flash setting during pour.
4. EPA NPDES Concrete Washout & Environmental Containment
Customer shall provide an approved, designated watertight concrete washout pit or eco-washout container on site. Washing out pump hoppers, pipelines, or ready-mix delivery chutes directly onto ground surfaces, storm drains, or retention ponds is strictly prohibited under EPA Clean Water Act mandates.
5. Hourly Mobilization, Yardage Billing & Tip-Over Insurance
Services are invoiced based on agreed hourly portal-to-portal rates (4-hour minimum) plus per-cubic-yard volume surcharges. Contractor carries $5,000,000 Commercial General & Riggers Tip-Over Liability Insurance. Payment terms are Net 30.
