1. Common Ground Alliance (CGA) Non-Destructive Standard
Contractor shall perform vacuum hydro-excavation and potholing in strict compliance with CGA Best Practices within the 811 designated tolerance zone (minimum 18 to 24 inches on all sides of marked utilities). High-pressure water nozzles shall operate at or below 3,000 PSI with oscillating tips to guarantee zero damage to pipeline protective coatings.
2. 811 Call-Before-You-Dig Ticket Verification & Pre-Marking
Customer warrants that an active, valid 811 locate ticket has been established for the work zone and all positive responses from electric, gas, petroleum, water, sewer, and telecom utility operators have been cleared prior to truck arrival. Contractor performs visual electronic locating sweeps prior to wand insertion.
3. Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Quality Level A Verification
Upon visual daylighting exposure of subsurface infrastructure, Contractor shall record precise GPS coordinates, utility type, outside diameter, material, depth of cover, and condition. High-resolution geotagged photographs are delivered digitally within twenty-four (24) hours for engineering as-built verification.
4. Environmental Slurry Manifesting & Approved Decant Disposal
Hydro-excavated soil and water slurry are contained in watertight debris bodies and transported exclusively to licensed commercial slurry decant pads or permitted clean-fill facilities. Direct discharging onto ground surfaces, storm sewers, or waterways is strictly prohibited under EPA NPDES guidelines.
5. Hourly Mobilization, Dumping Surcharges & $5,000,000 Liability
Services are invoiced based on agreed portal-to-portal hourly crew rates (4-hour minimum) plus actual slurry tipping/decant disposal surcharges. Contractor carries $5,000,000 Commercial General & Environmental Pollution Liability Insurance. Payment terms are Net 30.
